This beautifully renovated character home on Music Street in East Lismore was one of those properties that was made for a dusk shoot. Listing agent Robyn Hunt knew it too — and opted for our full Dusk Package, where the entire shoot takes place during golden hour. The result was a set of images drenched in warm, late afternoon light that helped sell the property quickly.
What Is a Dusk Package?
A Dusk Package is different to a standard twilight add-on. Rather than shooting interiors during the day and returning at sunset for a few exterior shots, the entire shoot — interiors, exteriors, and drone — takes place in that golden hour window before and during sunset. It means every single image in the gallery has that warm, atmospheric quality that buyers connect with emotionally.
It’s not the right approach for every property, but for a home like this — rich timber floors, warm tones, indoor plants, textured fabrics, and beautiful indoor-outdoor flow — golden hour light transforms every room.

The Living Spaces
The open plan living and dining area is the heart of this home. Hardwood floors, a central timber post, rattan pendant lighting, and floor-to-ceiling glass sliding doors opening onto the deck. When the late afternoon sun poured through the louvres and glass doors, it lit up the entire space with a natural warmth that no amount of artificial lighting could replicate.

We shot from multiple angles to capture the relationship between the living area, dining space, and kitchen — showing the flow of the home and the way the spaces connect. The teal feature walls and eclectic styling gave every frame depth and personality.

Character Details
This is a home with real character — original ornate ceilings, textured glass louvre windows, timber joinery, and a mix of vintage and contemporary styling throughout. The bedroom with its fireplace insert and sliding timber wardrobe doors had a cosy, lived-in quality. The study with its two-tone walls, rattan desk chair, and daybed felt like a space you’d actually want to work in.

These are the kinds of details that sell character homes — and golden hour light makes them sing.
The Deck and Outdoor Entertaining
The elevated timber deck is a standout feature. Surrounded by mature tropical landscaping with views across East Lismore, it’s the kind of outdoor space that sells a lifestyle. We captured it in both the late afternoon light and as the sky began to colour at dusk — showing the transition that makes this space feel magical at the end of the day.

Twilight Exteriors
As the sun dropped below the horizon, the interior lights came alive and the sky turned pink and purple behind the roofline. This is the window where exterior twilight photography creates its most powerful images — the warm glow from inside the house contrasting with the cool twilight sky.

Drone at Golden Hour
The drone went up during golden hour too, capturing the property in its East Lismore context. The aerial shots show the established neighbourhood, mature tree canopy, and the surrounding hills catching the last of the afternoon light. For a property like this, drone photography adds the location story that ground-level shots can’t tell.

A Fast Campaign
Robyn Hunt ran a sharp campaign and the property didn’t last long on the market. When you combine a beautifully presented home, a strong agent, and photography that captures the lifestyle — not just the rooms — that’s what happens. The Dusk Package gave this listing a cohesive, warm, atmospheric feel across every single image, and buyers responded.
If you’re listing a character home with great natural light and indoor-outdoor flow, a Dusk Package shoot could be exactly what your listing needs.
